McConnell: a friend in Florida had a friend in Canada

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell explains his opposition to health care reform: “I have a friend in Florida who had a friend in Canada that died”.

McConnell’s pitiful third-hand account can’t compare to what is ACTUALLY happening here in America. The Right-wing is showing us for where their REAL priorities lie… with the private health insurance industry.

    Whats even more …
Whats even more amazing is this “and apparently he didn’t have the money to get down to the U.S for quality healthcare”. If he doesn’t have the money for the bus to get to the US, what makes you think he has the money for the care itself. So if this man was in the US, he would either being going bankrupt under the strain of his debts, or have been refused it by his insurance company. The stupidity of this man is extreme.

    Canada 33,212,696 …
Canada 33,212,696 people over 3,511,003 sq mi where California has more people 36,756,666 over only 163,707 sq mi in Canada there are only in some areas 20 people for many miles doctors do not get enough or feel useful enough to stay so amount of docs is low.people now to travel to big city’s miles away. when we have that many people just in California docs make more & feel more useful its sad how docs do not stay in Canada less big city’s so less hospitals than our California

    McConnell, I have a …
McConnell, I have a friend of a friend of another friend of a friend who says that you are the dumbest politician he has ever known. Listening to you, I am starting to believe that friend of a friend of a…..friend. I cannot believe that you base your political decisions (that affect people of this country) on silly anecdotes! No wonder the republican party is in the “choux”.

    McConnell knows he …
McConnell knows he is exaggerating, even lying. I have friends who are a couple in their 70s that live in Canada and love their health care; the husband got a heap replacement at his later 70s.

Actually a public option would have to be protected from lemon dropping and cherry picking by private insurance which is what health insurance companies know best. This is how they reduce risk and squeeze the most out of Americans’ suffering.
