How likely is it that my auto insurance premium will increase if I file a claim? I currently have Farm Bureau.
Just because you file a claim, does not mean that your rates will automatically go up. If you are not at-fault for the accident it is unlikely. If you are not at-fault, your insurance company will recover the damage they pay out from the responsible party. Some insurance companies offer "accident forgiveness" plans. Perhaps yours does.
If you have had several accidents over a short period of time, and you were not at-fault, your premuim may go up. Use your insurance, that is why you have it, isn’t it?
I have used my insurance on occasion, and my rates have never gone up.
Premium increases could be related to increases approved by your state.

well some say they dont but well you know insurance co they always find a way of gettin some of it back lol

It depends on how much they would have to pay out, and what your record is like. If they spent lots, and you have several tickets, you bet it will go up.
