The University of Alabama at Birmingham Comprehensive Cancer Center has received a $500,000 grant from the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama, according to a press release.
The foundation has made an annual contribution to the center since 1996, but the $500,000 donation was the largest yet. The foundation has donated nearly $3.5 million to date.
A portion of the gift will help fund the new O?Neal-Sokol Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama Endowed Professorship.<div class="feedflare">
